Week 36 Fly Fishing Report – Ladybower Fisheries
Season Total stocking to date: 28,300
A quieter week with regards to angler numbers, maybe the unsettled weather putting a few off from venturing out on the boats. We will be reducing the number of boats available shortly as we slowly bring them in for servicing through the winter. Make the most of them while they're still available!
Those that did fancy a go still had plenty of action. The bank still fishing really well along the roadside of the main basin all the way down from the viaduct to the old road.
You may have now seen the videos we've been doing from the bank, demonstrating the incredible fishing to be had across a variety of methods! Theres something quite unique about the fishing on Ladybower, unmatched by other waters!
Boats are picking fish up from numerous areas including the road side in the basin, cages and Rasberry bay. It's worth pointing out that the majority of these fish are within 80 yards of the banks now. The fish that are spread in open water are in tight pods. Often you'll get a couple of chances really quickly then nothing for 10-15 minutes before drifting over the next pod.
Friday we stocked another 1,000+ lively Rainbows up the snake arm, we maybe coming towards the end of the season but we'll keep pumping those fish in until we close (30th of November)
On a separate note, as we now move in to the winter months we can confirm that the last day of the season will be Sunday November the 30th. We do however have some exciting news we are itching to share with you during this period. Keep an eye on our page for more details.

A quick note on catch returns...
Just of late we've had a few returns not handed back in after a session. Please could we kindly ask to be sure to hand your return in at either the fishery office, which is open until 6pm or one of the catch return boxes. These boxes are located on the fence next to the fishery office or at the gate for the Derwenìt arm. We rely on these returns for our stocking program so the more returns we get the more fish will be there for you to catch next time!
Also, don't forget, when you hand a correctly filled out return in to us, its automatically entered in to the monthly draw for a free C+R ticket on your next visit so what's there to lose! Keep your eyes peeled on our page for this months winner
A reminder that our fishery manager, Warren Langridge, is now set up to offer tuition and fully guided fishing trips. You can book via the office on 01433 659712 or by using the link on this page of our website: https://www.ladybowerfisheries.co.uk/tuition
A few words about the rules…..
The new cages have a 50m exclusion zone around them (indicated by a perimeter of buoys). Please respect this perimeter and do not cross into it. This applies to everybody.
Ladybower Fisheries would once again like to remind all our boat anglers that standing up in the boat to fish or motor is strictly prohibited. We’re still seeing isolated instances of this practice, but thankfully most seem to have got the message. Safety on the water is of paramount importance to all of us. Please follow the rules (they’re there for a very good—and sadly tragic—reason which occurred at another UK reservoir). Please remain seated. Many thanks.
