Great start to the morning, if you fancy giving fly fishing a go, our in house instructors are always on hand to guild you through all that you will need to master the art of fly fishing🎣🐟 We had the pleasure of having Paul Richards and his Dad Roger out on the wheeley boat yesterday, I’m sorry to say that the son out fished the master. Tactics that worked yesterday where floating/intermediate lines with a 12/14 ft leader, on the point where blue flash damsel or cats whisker.πŸ‘ŒπŸŸ

Monday 16th September 2019........Yesterday was youngsters' day at Ladybower, pride of place going to a 12 year old young man with a 3lb 7oz specimen caught from a boat while out with his father. 😎 We also had 14 year old Lawrence appearing for the second consecutive day with an outrageous green rod (unsurprisingly supplied by our old mate Peter Arfield) who was rather pleased with himself after catching a smart looking rainbow from the casting pontoon all on his own. Finally, Gary Robinson arrived for an afternoon boat with two generations of family including his 5 year old son, giving him the fly-rod to play the fish once he'd hooked them for him. We're hoping for pictures of that event at some stage but in the meantime, very well done to all concerned!

In other news, Matt Nuttall and Mark Gibbons had, by their standards, a fairly quiet day with only 22 to the boat on washing line tactics with Matt (and his smart new Stanley) being booed off for callously winning 13-9 on Mark's Birthday! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ If anybody else out there would like to be beaten in a fishing competition on their birthday, just let us know and we'll get Matt booked in for you.........πŸ˜‰ As usual on a Monday, there's plenty of boats available although the wheelyboat is occupied and we always welcome float tubers and bank fishermen alike. 😎

Sunday 15th September.......a great day yesterday and despite the wind that whipped up, our intrepid team of 6 total novices caught fish from the casting pontoon after a spot of instruction from Troy and myself which put a smile on everybody's faces! 😎 Aside from that, we had a very busy day with all the boats booked plus Mick Woodcock cleaning up near Ladybower Bay from his float tube. πŸ‘ intermediate and floating lines alongside Booby set ups and pink Nomads. Anglers generally scored well with notable catches from Frank Thompson and Brian and Michael Lomax being amongst them. Today will be a similar as far as the weather is concerned but we still have a couple of boats available plus (once in a blue moon) the wheelyboat for hire! 😎 In the meantime, here's a picture of our fish farm specialist Richard Smith with an example of his rearing program, one of the novices' fish undergoing a filleting demonstration and one of Matt Nuttall's boat box...........his therapy continues......πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

A beautiful start to the morning. J Knoble managed 7 yesterday on a floating line with a mini cats whisker on the point🐟🐟. Boats are still available for tomorrow but you need to be quick to avoid disappointment! 😎😎😎
