Week 25 - 2026 Fly Fishing Report – Ladybower Fisheries
Weekly rod average 12.2
An incredible week of dry fly action this week. The cooling surface water has the fishing back on top, with some spectacular bags of fish to six pounds being taken on a variety of dries, and switching to pulled boobies on an intermediate when the storm clouds gathered.
It was great to be part of the ladies national competion yesterday with several bag limits of sixteen fish coming well inside the allotted times.
Congratulations to Sam Edmonds on her win! Well fished Sami.
As the cool wether continues we expect sport to remain excellent , with ten thousand fish still to stock, including some big uns ! ( watch this space) we are assured of superb sport heading into the autumn.
Best flies this week : daddies black tan and orange, black culs , claret orange or black bits. Pink and orange marabou boobies, cormorants muskins and damsels.
Floaters tips and intermefiate lines doing all the work.
