Week 8 - 2026 Fly Fishing Report – Ladybower Fisheries
Season Total stocking to date: 9,300
Apologies for the lack of report last week, although you have certainly given us plenty of ammunition with the pictures you guys have been sending in! Please keep them coming.
Well, Ladybower is back at its very best with consistent top of the water sport being had! An outstanding rod average of over 8 is simply incredible numbers.
Mornings are still taking a while to warm up as the fish sit a little deeper then around lunchtime and into the afternoon they are straight up having on or just under the surface.
The go to methods from catch returns all either feature dries or washing line.
Top returns
Ian Gaskell and Bob Cooper had a brilliant day on Friday. Together they pair landed 48 fish from many areas in the main basin and up the Derwent arm. A floating line was all that was required all day!
Regulars and top father and son duo ventured out boat fishing together on Saturday. Their main areas was around the Dam... putting 49 fish in the boat they certainly had a cracking session. Well done both!
Also out on Saturday was Duncan and Stuart McLean. They returned 50 fish noting that Rasberry bay had switched on as well as the usual main basin areas. Hoppers and FABs did the damage for them.
