Catch Report Week 5

Week 5 - 2026 Fly Fishing Report – Ladybower Fisheries

Season Total stocking to date: 7,700

Doubles, doubles, doubles galore!

What a difference a week makes! Mostly calm, mild days, well greeted by us all! The fish have certainly switched on to it as well. Flat calm mornings have seen fish rising all across the basin taking buzzers hatching off first thing.

A staggering amount of doubles caught this week, probably close to a dozen we'd challenge you to name another English reservoir that is capable of producing such quality fish, and so frequently!

Top returns

Top honours this week belong to season ticket holder Nick Halstead and Michael Lunn. Together they caught a very impressive 50+ fish on Wednesday. Their main areas was Grainfoot using the bung with mop flies or putting a midge tip to great effect well done gents

Another very respectful bag was from Thursday when Derek Moore and Felicity Appleton venture away from the crowds and found fish in Rasberry and Ladybower bays. Fast glass or a di3 and lures were the winning combination
