Discovering new and exciting experiences

The ladybower wheelyboat provides mobility impaired people with the opportunity and freedom to enjoy open water.

Wheelchair-accessible, floating pontoon with gradually sloping, concrete ramp.

Easy access bank fishing areas.

Wheelyboat was purchased in 2016 through the support of local charities and friends of Ladybower fisheries.

Adapted fishing aids including body harnesses and Rexfly casting system to allow single arm fishing.

During the last 3 years we have been working with Fishing for Heroes, a national charity, with ex-service personnel and serving soldiers enjoying the facilities that we can provide. Fly fishing surrounded by the dramatic landscape of the Peak District has helped them to reduce anxiety and tension. Some of the ex-service personnel are now employed at the fishery supporting others.

It is our ambition to become a leader in the field of therapeutic fishing in this stunning location. We aim to continue to build on the unique service we already provide and cater for an ever wider customer base.

All activities fully risk assessed by experienced and competent in-house staff.

Fully serviced safety equipment provided.

Compliant with the Community Equipment Code of Practice.

Public liability Insurance.
